Vehicle vs. Bicycle

The below series of animations illustrate a collision involving a vehicle that struck a bicyclist on a dimly lit, two-lane county roadway late at night. As can be seen the narrow roadway crests behind the bicyclist, which when combined with the actions of the bicyclist, poor ambient lighting and absence of required rear lighting on the bicycle created the perfect circumstances for a collision.
