3D Laser Scanning

Using the 3D point cloud data collected from the laser scanner, investigators are able to develop highly detailed 2D and 3D models for analysis. For example, when compared with OEM CAD files of an exemplar vehicle the amount of crush caused by a collision can easily be measured and used to determine the amount of kinetic energy required to produce the observed deformation.  Also, the vast amount of data collected enables our experts to create highly detailed scene diagrams of intersections, roadway evidence and more.
